This has been one of the things always at the back of my mind, and I would love to have a bash at integrating it into the main site.
One of the reasons that the forum is 'a pre built template' is that when I first started the site I had no and I mean 'NO' idea of web programming and the site was just meant as a learning tool on a subject that I was interested in at the time, in fact now my site building knowledge is still very basic.
Dont get me wrong I like to research things, and I have mountains of books and stuff on things like Flash, Dreamweaver, ASP,PHP, MSQL etc etc. but it justs boggles me to be honest, and I really dont get the time to sit down and teach myself (I own my own business, manage a bar 4 nights a week as well as all the work i put into this site).
Another Reason that I have taken the step to change the forum is that over the past couple of years, the forum we have has evolved into a little community and I would think that there wouls be quite a problem migrating most of the topics over.
Dont get me wrong I am really appreciative that you would offer your assistance, its great to know that someone out there takes a little pride in what I am trying to do and offers and helping hand, so thank you!
Let me know your ideas on how this would work, I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers
Russ

Yeah the migration is of course a big problem due to the fact that you dont have DB accesswith proboards, as such any topics would need to be manually moved over, and you would need to request for existing members to transfer their membership, but seeing as many members dont post (and through experience, people view free hosted forums as unimportant, hence a lack of posts) a new forum may act as an added incentive, also of course the members who do chat a lot will of course transfer their membership! Self-hosted forums are definately the future, and I feel would improve the site! Just give me a bell on msn, im on most of the time afterall!
