Great maybe I'll see you there..Although I've thought about just going to The Quest show now. Since it's way closer and can only afford one out of town trip ..I figure that The Quest show is going to be way better right? Best of the best and such. Am I right? and will you be at that one too? - - CN

The two competitions will be a bit different. Barwars will have mostly FL bartenders, althought they are a very strong lot since the crew from Hard Rock in Tampa will all be there. However, there are some bartenders who will compete at Barwars and not at Quest.
If it comes down to only making one of these two events, I would say go to Quest. The atmosphere of putting 75 flair bartenders from around the world in one building is electric! I went down to the original Quest for three years before ever doing any more than just being a spectator. Any yes, I will also be at Quest as an exhibition flair judge.

There are always options when it comes to flair comps. Next week in LA will be a competition hosted by friend and customer Eric Lopez. You can find more information on it at www.martinisforhire.com. Eric has regular yard days for people to come out and practice, that is a great way to really start pushing your flair skills. He is also working on a regional level event for some time in early 2005, which I will likely be down for. Of course, Vegas is only a few hours away and there is A LOT of flair to be seen there! Mike
