It was a thursday night with a huge party, only a few people, but the bar was busy. Company party - you get the point.
After a while we also started to drink with the guests, shame on us, but its gonna be important later...
So, we close, its only us and the boss in the bar. He made us breakfast, we did some cleaning/washing and such, we ordered drinks for the weekend, and as you know - we had a lot to do after a busy night.
So we keep drinking, the boss leaves, and I start to make sandwiches. No problem, the other bartender leaves, all I have to do is "lights off, alarm on, close the door". But I try not to leave mess after myself, so I wash the knife. Its our cook's. Nuff said. Blood all over my thumb. I look at it, an inch long cut, deep, but no vein/nerve/bone is cut with that Solingen...
So I go to the hospital, got a bandage (?), on my right thumb. Everyone at the bar laughs at me. As I walk in, I just say to the Manager: "Its time for some left handed pour tests", so without taking off my sweater, I walk to the bar, get 2 glasses and a liter bottle of Bacardi filled with water (used this bottle for pour tests the day before), and I do 2 pours. Both are okay. The BM just laughs, and tells me to take care...
Later that night all the regulars tease me with knife stories, ask me questions of knieves, etc...
In the morning, back in the hospital to check my wound, one of the guys walking on the corridor look at me, and smiles: "Hey Solingen, whats up?"... Seems like I am building a clientele... But a wrong one
Keep the faith, watch out. If you drink, its okay to leave the knife in the sinker!

PS: I will be back to flair this friday. I cant wait...
