Actually, that trailer is still from Bottleslinger 1. They are still in editting for Bottleslinger 2 as we speak. The scene in question (I think) has Adriano popping open a beer on stage with a bunch of TV behind him? This is from the WBC in 2002 at the Groove in Universal Studios, Orlando. He does actually have an opener in his hand, it is just hard to see because it goes down across his hand. Hope that makes sense.

Hey guys. That champagne open move was pretty cool, except that in my bar, all the bottles have little glass lips just below the caps which I'm scared of breaking >_< I'm in the UK so this may jus be a regional thing.
Or maybe you're hitting it at an angle so you're missing this lip altogether and just catching the cap?

I got a bar blade 2 days ago, and iv nearly got the pop. the way i do it, dunno if its right or wrong but it works 4 me, is to hold the bottle vertica, and then bring the blade from my right hip to my left shoulder, swiping the cap on the way!! iv already opend 10 unwanted bottles oof beer at home 2 practise!!! ;D

Hey Kenna
That'll do it!
There are generally two ways. You can hold the blade next to the bottle and pull up or hold the blade near the bottle and then pull up and across so you just take the cap off - just do whatever works for you.
When I started I went through a case of Corona - the next hour was the best product pushing I have ever done at the bar:)

i saw this kind of trick in another club and cant get it nailed. basically its like the pop but with less power and the bottle cap is flicked up off of the bottle, the the blade flicks the cap from the side again and knocks the lid away (it was actually into the bin but that comes with target practice), sorry if its a poor decription but i dont really know how to say it

Our bottles does always have this small 'lip' just before cap (see photo on link! notice, its quite big picture). Is there a possibility that bottle breaks up? Anyone is experienced with this? www2.uiah.fi/projects/zone/download/karhu.JPG

yeah, if you catch the lip wrong it can shatter the edge of the bottle. i try to avoid doing this for this very reason. if you break a bottle lip and dont realise you can get in serious trouble

If you think just shattering the neck gets you noticed try ripping the lip clean off with it still in the cap. I wound up with 13 bottles of WKD in the breakages bin Ive slightly bent the end of my bar blade (will upload a pic) when Im popping/swiping ive found it also helps to tilt the bottle in the direction im swiping.. The cap hit uses a normal open, blade reverse grip (opening end towards little finger) when you pull the blade up to open continue the motion up which will send the cap into the air giving you time to swing your arm back and time the hit. BEWARE I was showing off infront of a bar full of women and managed to hit my boss square in the groin, fortunatly my boss laughed it off but unimpressed managers have been known to ban blades from bars because of the danger to customers and other staff. Practice, Practice, Drink, Drink, Practice, Drink, Practice, Dri... Fall over ;D

Got my bar blade finally few days ago. Today i had to buy full case of cider (i dont drink beer :/ ) And few other bottles, just to train opening those with my blade.
I found out that Smirnoff Ice bottles open up pretty easily, but finnish ciders are bit harder, because of small glass lip just beyond cap. These bottles tend to break up from top, but everytime the cut was very sharp and clean.
anyways, i wish you guys could share some other nice things to do with my new toy?
